​Wren Cherney is a native of California. She attended California Lutheran University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in English with a Writing concentration and a minor in Sociology. She grew up reading and daydreaming about faraway worlds, and resolved to one day create one of her very own.

Wren is currently at work brainstorming her next novel, a prequel to A Fateful Magic. She lives in Thousand Oaks, California.
